Below are the individual 45 reception key words, each word is on a 3d geometric shape background. These key words are used by some teachers in order to help reception children learn to recognise the words and  therefore aid their reading. Often the teachers will send these words home to be practiced. Some of these words can be sounded out using phonic knowledge, and others need to be learnt by sight.
